If you go in to get your bloodwork done, and the computer is facing you so that you can see your phlebotomist's every move, do not tell her how to do her job (even if you're nervous and OMG! She really looks like she has no idea what she's doing).
I promise you that you will walk out of that office with a blood-soaked cotton ball and a pain in your arm that will last no more than 3 days.
Not that I'm speaking from experience or anything......

Where We Go From Here

First of all, I wanted to give a heart-felt thank you to the Bloomin' Babies community. You have all been so supportive, thoughtful and informative. I am so thankful to be part of this little "family."
Mr. SB and I had an appointment with our RE to talk about our next steps. It seems that I have been pretty much tested for everything except for a chromosome defect called Balanced Translocation.
I won't bore you with the details of this again, as it can be found in Blessed Bud's post, a couple below this one.
After emailing with our lovely Dandelion Bud, if the balanced translocation test comes back normal, I think I am going to get a second opinion. It seems like they cannot find anything that is wrong with me. In fact, my RE said it was surprising how normal my tests actually were - not a defect in sight, which is just my luck.
I'm scared to death of my chromosome test coming back positive. That is a whole different shit storm that I am not ready to deal with. The thought of having to go through more miscarriages to "hopefully" have a normal pregnancy literally takes me breath away. The nurse at my RE's office told me that they have never seen this many miscarriages in someone so young, which to be honest with you, made me want to neck punch her.
So right now, we have put actively TTC on hold. This test will take about 5 weeks to come back, and now we are going to try to relax, exercise and start having sex for fun instead of reproduction (even though I know I will not be able to help myself with CBE Smileys because they are just so. freaking. cool)! I will not be going back on birth control, so if it happens, it happens.
Its time for a much needed physical and mental break.

Sensitivity Training

We had to do sensitivity training at work, why can't there be sensitivity training for real life. When people don't know better, they should just keep their mouths shut. This weekend was great until AF decided to show up and someone decided to open their mouth when they shouldn't have.
My health issues and the things I've been diagnosed with are serious to me. My concerns about IF and how successful Mr. Travel Bud and I are at conceiving are not joking matters. Someone thought it was.
We're watching a TV Show where children and holiday traditions are mentioned and we have a friend and his wife over, we will just call her, Crazy Bia. Well Crazy Bia mentions how she's excited to start traditions with their family when they start trying for kids next year and I say "Oh, you guys are trying for kids next year?" Crazy Bia then says, "Yeah. We do. Watch, we'll probably have about 4 kids before you guys even have one. I mean knowing how effed up your body is."
What the *^&*%&^$. I should have kicked her sorry ass out into the 7 degree weather. Instead, I just said "Please be quiet and watch the damn show."
Then, minutes later my killer cramps kick in, thanks to my lovely friend Aunt Flo and her sidekick Endometriosis. Needless to say, I cried myself to sleep.
I'm not sure if I can let her back into my house anytime soon. People who say such insensitive things are not allowed in my home.
So here I sit with my debilitating cramps just thinking about how someone could be so heartless. It's just a reminder to me that we don't know what people are going through at all times, so it's best to think before we say something we'll regret. Who even knows if Crazy Bia will think after the fact about what she said, but it sure taught me that some people just don't think and the best thing we can do is keep our mouths shut.
Hopefully, the rest of the week fares better for me and for everyone else that's having a bad week.

Don't Mess With the Pregnant Chick

The title says it all... If I weren't KU I'm sure Mr. GB would be ready to throw me out on my behind. Maybe not, but I'm sure that I am testing his patience lately.
I'm officially 16 weeks and 4 days pregnant. For the most part it's been very easy going and up until the last 2 or 3 weeks I've kept my hormones in check. We've had a few tiffs but they've been minor and nothing to really speak of. I've also had the occasional bout of uncontrollable tears, mostly in the privacy of my own company if I think too much about - "OMG are we READY for this?" or "Can I handle this?"
Last night took the cake though! If you care to hear about my irrational, hormonal, and unreasonable behavior; read on:

So I've been having some issues with basically anything sounding good to eat lately. Not that anything makes me sick, just that nothing sounds good. That in itself annoys Mr. GB, because I'm usually the one who gets home first and has dinner planned and started by the time he walks in the door. Recently, I find myself standing in front of our pantry or at the grocery store with no clue what to eat. Nothing sounds good and I have no motivation to cook. On a number of nights he's walked in the door to find me still staring cluelessly into the freezer?!
Yesterday, we had both just gotten paid and I knew he was leaving for the weekend so I thought to myself; Mexican sounds good. I'll suggest we go up to the Mexican restaurant! In walks Mr. GB who tells me he is tired, has already worked 40 hours this week and it's only Thursday; he just wants to relax. So he suggests I go to the grocery store, get a frozen meal of enchiladas and we make our own rice and beans. He also mentions we already have chips and homemade salsa and that we shouldn’t be spending money on going out. Mrs. GB now transforms into Preggzilla.
Long story short - Mr. GB ended up eating the frozen meal sans rice, beans, chips or salsa - Mrs. GB ended up eating a frozen pizza. The enchiladas looked gross and I wanted REAL Mexican.
Right now I just have to look back and laugh because I honestly think, who WAS that crazy person last night crying over MEXICAN FOOD! Yes followers, I was bawling...
...please help me make it through this?!?!

What NOT to say to a woman dealing with MFI: Volume 1

"You should just try to relax. Take a vacation."
As if all of the previous vacations we've taken HAVEN'T been relaxing.
"It will happen when it's meant to."

It will happen when we scrape together $15,000.
"Just borrow one of mine; you'll change your mind."
There isn't a response.
"Have you considered adoption?"
Yes. But what don't you understand about my wanting to be pregnant?
Don't mind me, faithful readers... I'm just having a non-literary "bite me" kind of day.
