22 Weeks

I am 22 weeks pregnant now. This week our baby is almost 1 lb and 11inches according to babycenter.com, but different websites say different things for each week. I can feel her moving a lot these days, and the moment is stronger. I received the Doppler that I ordered. It is fun to be able to listen to her heartbeat and is a great reassurance.

I gained another pound this week which puts me at 12 lbs over my pre pregnacy weight. I am still feeling great overall. I do have some pain from my round ligament sometimes, but it is fine if I take it easy when it is hurting. I started a prenatal yoga class last week and am planning on taking it once a week until the end of my pregnancy.

We bought an '04 Toyota Sienna on ebay last weekend and Mr. Lucky Bud drove to Ohio to pick it up. We always have driven beaters, so this is the nicest car we have ever had and we are really excited.

Moving Time

Both for the baby and for our household. Movers come tomorrow to get the furniture and any boxes we've managed to get packed up. Its a local move at least (our last one was coast-to-coast), so at least its less stressful.

I'm currently at 22 weeks 5 days. Crazy to even think that I'm only 9 days from V-Day, not that I'm counting or anything... Once a pregnancy hits 24 weeks the babies chances of survival outside the womb start to climb.

I'm still feeling pretty much the same as I was last week. I haven't felt as much movement this week from the little guy, but I think that's because I've been so active myself packing and the like. I have made sure I feel him move each day, which is comforting. I've been tired and sore as anything this week, but most of that I can attribute to all the packing I've been doing this week. I've been good and not been lifting heavy or awkward things, but just the amount of moving, lifting and twisting...well, lets just say I've been feeling it. I'll be glad when the move is over with.

I feel like I'm measuring small right now, but I'm trying to convince myself its the not-so-flattering over sized junky t-shirts I've been wearing this week. The worry about him being a little on the small side was planted at our impromptu anatomy scan back at 17 weeks when they said they wanted to see us back in several weeks for a follow up growth ultrasound. Hopefully the new doctor will do the follow up ultrasound as well.

Alright, I'll catch you on the flip side. We're breaking down the electronics shortly.

Made it Halfway & other baby things

This Wednesday I will be 22 weeks!

Baby Sassy Bud is the size of a banana this week.

I have been feeling movement regularly for a while now. I think I can feel it from the outside but Mr. Sassy Bud hasn't gotten his hand there in time to feel it yet. Her kicks are definitely getting stronger now.

We have also made some baby purchases over the past few weeks. We got our nursery set. It's the Nursery Smart Chelsea collection:
We got a great deal on it from cribs.com. I have also started my cloth diaper stash. I'll save that for another later post but I got a ton of hand me downs along with some great sales on a few different CD sites.

Things have been crazy lately due to my law school semester ending (finals!!) and tax season but I'm sure I'll have lots of fun stuff to share in the near future. Stay tuned!

POP.... goes the belly button.

It's official, my innie is now an outtie. I have pretty bad belly button issues as it is and cannot stand to have it touched at all. When I was recovering from my lap, the belly button incision is the one that bothered me the most. And now that it's all stretched out and popping out, the last few days were pretty miserable. It was touching everything and completely icked me out. So far today, it's not as bad for some reason.

I'm already starting to find it more difficult to get up and down and to maneuver around. It's interesting how much earlier things happen with your second than your first. I'm officially rolling out of bed instead of just jumping out of bed.

The morning sickness comes and goes. Some days are better than others. Some days my Zofran and I are best friends. Usually if I start out my day with a big glass of orange juice (with pulp) than I'm pretty good for most of the day.

Here is my 20w picture:
I'm still holding strong at only 15 pounds gained so far. Thankfully, my major cravings are apples, oranges and strawberries with the occasional chocolate craving thrown in there.

I've been on a serious organizational binge lately. I've already gotten all of his newborn and 0-3 month clothes washed and put away in the dresser/closet. Yesterday, I spent the day reorganizing our kitchen cabinets to make room for a cabinet for all the bottles/liners/breastmilk storage containers:I'm going to put off washing and prepping all of my cloth diapers until much closer to the time that I'll need them. This is part of the stash so far. I've added 5 more diapers since this picture was taken.

I'm really enjoying all there is to do to get ready. I know I complained that time was dragging but once I hit 20 weeks, time seems to be going too fast now!! I don't mind if he stays in there because I'm at least getting some sleep (despite getting up 2-4 times a night to go to the bathroom) and I'm very much enjoying my morning snuggles with DD when she climbs into my bed for cuddles in the morning.

22 weeks & feelin' good!

Hey everyone! Worry Bud here checking in - not too much going on with me & Baby WB, which is just how I like it - uneventful. My baby-buying obsession is still in full swing & I got baby WB lots of cute stuff this past week. I got a little bonus at work for a project I worked on, so I spent a lot spoiling her as usual. On my last post, a few people asked where I was getting all my baby deals & one place I go to A LOT is Zulily (full disclosure - if you sign up for a Zulily account through this link & if/when you buy something, I get a $10 credit to buy Baby WB even more cute stuff!). A few of the items I'm currently loving:

This ado.ra.ble pink guitar Pink Axle beanie on sale for $12 on Zulily, originally $22!

This chocolate & green buti bag company bundle bag/carry-all on sale for $35 on Zulily, originally $60!

The sales only last a few days each time they are posted, so make sure to check back constantly!! I am currently on a self-imposed baby-buying hiatus {until next pay period ::wink::} because my obsession is getting out of hand, lol. Seriously though. I.can't.stop. She's so spoiled already. :) I honestly need to limit my purchases to like maybe 2-3 items per 2-week pay period. I know that I will likely gets a lot of stuff at my baby shower, so I really, really try to not buy too much, but sometimes it's so hard when you find the CUTEST things at great prices! Sigh. I'll be sure to share more links in my coming posts.

So, from weeks 21-24 (month 5),
The Bump says baby is abo
ut the size of a Papaya! She is between 10.5-11.8 inches in length & between 12.7-20.8 ounces. At 19w6d, Baby WB was a little more than 11 ounces, so she's probably close to a pound or so now! She can most definitely hear us now & we talk to her lots & lots every day! She especially likes Mr. WB & she always starts kicking when she hears his voice. :) He even felt her kick for the first time yesterday...I was so happy! But, it's still really light to him, although they seem to be getting harder to me. Nothing painful at all, just noticeably harder. Her movement definitely happens all day, every day & I sometimes try to count her kicks. I read that you should be able to count about 10 kicks/movements in a 2-hour period. Usually I count from the first time I feel her & go from there. She should also be settling into sleep cycles & sleeping anywhere from 12-14 hours throughout the day & I am starting to realize when she's napping. I love this little bean so much & can't wait to meet her in November!!

Although it's finally sunk into my brain that I am pregnant, I still find it hard to believe that we are gonna have a baby in just a few short months. It's an awesome feeling & although we prayed for her (& can't wait until she's in our arms), it definitely makes you
think a little about just how much your life will change! Are we ready for the change? Of course we are, but it's a huge life-changing thing that's happening & it just makes you a think about a lot. I wonder about so many things, like if we will be good parents & know what we are doing (I have extensive experience with other people's kids, but I wonder if it'll be different with mine), if she will take to breastfeeding, how will the first couple of weeks be with her home, how will our furbaby (our spoiled dog) react to his new little sis...and lots & lots more! And of course, true to form, I still worry about her all the time & hope she's doing well in there. Knowing me, that'll never end - even when she does get here! But, she's continuing to wiggle around & kick & every time I feel her, it makes me calm down a little & smile big time. Overall, I'm feeling good. A little achy at the end of the days, but doing great overall! Besides all the worry that comes along with pregnancy, I really enjoy being pregnant!

Here is my 22 week bump pic - I feel like I definitely look pregnant now & am in maternity clothes full time at this point (although a few of my longer pre-pregnancy shirts still fit me). No belly stretch marks (or any others that I didn't already have) yet & I'm right on track with my weight gain according to my Dr. at my last appointment, which is also great!

Make sure you enter today's {and the rest of this week's} Bloomin' Babies 100 Followers Giveaway Celebration giveaways - they are all going to be awesome...I'm sooo jealous that you guys get a chance to get this stuff for FREE!

22 Weeks down!

I think Baby GB's growth must slow from here on out because I only get my fruit updates from thebump.com every month instead of each week.

Here's what Baby GB is up to during my 5th month of being KU!

Watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. Nipples are starting to sprout, and that little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop.

Apparently Mr & Mrs GB need to watch their mouths from here on out also since Baby GB is able to hear our every word :) This may be more difficult for Mr GB than myself - he's got quite the potty mouth. I think that I'm also going to have to invest in some new soothing iTunes to calm Baby GB! I've heard that classical music is great to play for your baby while he's still in the womb.

I'm definitely feeling him tumbling around in there now a days and if he punches me low enough it makes me feel like I have to pee... fabulous feeling :) I haven't been able to pinpoint his sleep cycles as suggested above but he must sleep the same time I am because he's not keeping me up at night. This morning he was REALLY active about an hour after I had my breakfast! Thebump.com also recommends to set aside some time each day to count kicks - once you start feeling them regularly - ideally, you'll feel ten kicks, swishes, rolls or jabs within an hour. If after two you aren't to ten it's suggested to give your doctor a call. I'll have to keep that in mind!

Well, other than these few little tidbits we haven't been up to much - so we're focusing on Thanksgiving right now! On Wed we are heading 4 hours west to visit our families. I'm SO excited - they haven't seen us since we were about 12 weeks along!
