He's Here!!!

After a long Journey, 2 m/c and 1 cp Our little man arrived February 15th at 1:36pm and we could not be happier. He is so perfect and we are so much in love. Labor was amazing and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Here is my birth story -
Monday 2/14, I had my 39 week appointment and I was 4 centimeters dilated. My Dr stripped my membranes and asked me if I would like to be induced that afternoon or first thing in the morning. Since I knew induction would take a long time I choose to be induced first thing the next morning so that I was able to go home to pack up any last minute things and rest.
Tuesday 2/15, We checked into the hospital at 7am and was in our room and hooked up to the IV's with pitocin by 8:30am.

10:40am - the nurse checked me and I was a little over 5 cm dilated. The contractions were not as painful as I thought but I requested the Epidural just in case the intensified or it was too late to request it (I am so glad I did this).

11:45am - my doctor came to check my progress and break my water. This was the oddest feeling ever... I felt as if I had the Niagara Falls coming down my leg, I can not image my water breaking at home.. I would have freaked out!!! My Contractions were slowing down from 4 minutes apart to 6 minutes apart. My doctor estimated he would be here by 2.

12pm - The cafeteria opened to I told my DH to go grab some lunch since my contractions were slowing down and this would probably take some time. He left with my cousins and I took the opportunity and rested.
1:05pm - I was on skype with my sister and feeling a little pressure and this odd feeling that the baby was pushing and trying to get out of my butt (odd explanation).

1:15pm - The nurse comes in to check on my contractions and I explain to her this odd feeling I was having (truthfully.. I thought the epi was running out and I was feeling the contractions.. I did not want to feel that pain and was ready to ask for another dose of epi). She was hesitant to check me because she had just checked me less than 2 hours ago ans was worried of the risk of infections. I requested her to please check for some assurance. When she lifted the sheet she jumped up and scream.. 'He's right there!!!' OMG.. I almost died.. I was going to have this baby without my doctor and he's not going to be ok.

1:24pm - The nurse runs out of the room screaming to call my DR and grabs another doctor to stand in the room just in case my doctor did not make it on time. She tells me not to push nor make any movements. My DH keeps telling me.. 'This is not our doctor.. where the hell is out doctor?!?!?'...


1:29pm - Thank God my doctor comes running in and gets to work. It was amazing how quick he was dressed, prepped the table and coached me on what to due.

1:32pm - I start pushing.. three pushes later my son was born at 1:36pm weighing 8 pounds 7 ounces at 20 1/2 centimeters. He was so alert and cried for two seconds and then just looked at my Husband and me. Amazing, the best moment of my life.



I had an episiotomy because my hemorrhoids were out to the point my doctor did not want for me to push as much to make the situation worst. My recovery has been challenging due to the hemorrhoids, I had a thromboses Hemorrhoid and went to the rectal surgeon to have it removed but he did not recommend removing it since I have had this procedure done in the past, and prescribed new antibiotic. Two weeks later I can finally sit straight without any pain and my doughnut pillow.

LO almost had to stay in the nursery because of the Billy Rubin due to our blood types not being compatible. The pediatrician told us on our last day of the hospital he was border line but will be able to go home, just to make sure he had sun baths, feed and pooped enough to fight any my blood.


BF was difficult in the first few days, because I was not able to sit due to the hemorrhoids and the only position LO was only able to latch was when we were both laying down. When we arrived home I started pumping to supplement while I recover and now he is back on the breast.

37 weeks.. where in the heck did time go???? I cant believe within the next few weeks we are going to have our little boy in my arms.

A lot has happened in the last few weeks and I am going to try my best to catch up with everything this week.

Let's start off with our baby shower... My amazing Mother in Law hosted the shower with the help of my sister, and I helped with all the decor and set up. My Mother in Law is such a sweet, amazing, caring, humble mother that I am over the moon to have her in our lives.

The shower took place at her house on a Sunday afternoon, we wanted to keep the nautical theme to match his nursery.

My Dad's advice -


I had an amazing time and we received almost everything we needed! This is one lucky little boy.

I'm 37w 2days today and as of yesterday am 2 centimeters dilated.

Enjoying this time

Every morning I wake up and am so happy and grateful that our little person has stayed with us. Til this day it does not feel real to me, I tell my husband I think it will finally feel real when I have him in my hands.

This week we had our Doctor's appointment and it went AMAZING!! We confirmed it was a boy and we were able to see him in 3d/4d. WOW.. I cried, I felt as if I met him at that moment. He has Mr. Buds nose... adorable.

I have been feeling really good and have no complains... I've been getting my energy back and have had no more nausea.

And this week at 19 weeks...

After our 12 week appointment I was dying to purchase my baby bag. This was something very personal to me, I know what I wanted and did not want anything that screamed out BABY!! Especially since I have to go back to work and will take my breast pump to pump milk through out the day.

I had a 20% off coupon and headed into the outlet and found this beauty on clearance for 50% off!!! It was meant to be.....

I have tons to post... Nursery, pregnancy fashion and tons more!

Almost half way and I think we found our crib

4 months... I am still in disbelief that we have made it this far... it's starting to finally feel real. This past weekend I made 15 weeks, 15 weeks!!! Our next goal is to make it to 25 weeks. We are taking baby steps. I have been feeling really good, no more evening nausea, luckily I was only hurled over the toilet once since the beginning of this pregnancy. And I think I felt the little on yesterday, but its too early to know for sure.

At our two last appointments the both doctor's told us that it looks like a boy but they were not able to get a good enough shot because he was moving to much. Here are a few u/s pics from our last appointment

I have started putting ideas together for the nursery and think I have finally found the crib that I am in love with..I have been searching for cribs since the day we saw a heart beat knowing it was not going to be an easy task. I have an idea on what I want but I knew it was either not going to be available in the color that I wanted or it was going to be $1k - $2k, which is WAY over our budget. All the baby store's and department store's that we have gone to we have not been able to find anything that we like... either the bed looks too big and bulky, or it looks like a thrown for a king... just not our style. I want something clean lines and does not have a backboard that looks like an adults bed. And we are not interested in the convertible options, hopefully in 2-3 years we will have our second child and we will be able to recycle this crib. So with out Further audei let me introduce the crib that I ***hope*** we can buy... The Sparrow Crib made by Oeuf (found here). We would go with the white option

It is a little.. ok ok A LOT over our price range but I'm thinking long term... It is so so so beautiful. I saw it in person and fell in love. For the rest of the room I am going to really really stick to my budget and savage other items from the house. I am eliminating the changing table (not a fan of so much furniture in a room) and will buy the Hemned Ikea Dresser and use it as a changing table as well (ha already saving some money!).

Since we live in South Florida and are boaters, what better idea that a nautical theme nursery for our little boy. Here is a design board that I have created to have an idea of how the room will go together:

First ob/gyn appointment

Let me start off with these....


Do you notice something in the second picture??? no? maybe? As per my doctor its a boy!!!

Let's rewind.... Today was our first ob/gyn appointment after we were released from the RE's office. I met with a new doctor which is amazing, he is so informative and just sounds caring, I did not feel like I was in a factory and was a dollar sign. He works with high risk pregnancies and I could not be happier with our choice. After we meet I felt so comfortable. We have gone through 4 doctors within the last year and a half and it has not been easy.

He went over my test results from the RE's office and warned me that I am at risk for Preeclampsia. Great. Read all about it here. ugh. I am just going to continue praying and hope that our baby can make it full term and we have no complications. I also was dehydrated and had a little bit of sugar in my urine, which is so odd. I only drink water and a whole lot of it!

On a positive note, at the trans-vaginal u/s we were able to see the little one swimming all around, heard it's heartbeat beating at 170 BPM, saw the umbilical cord pumping pumping blood (which means NO MORE PROGESTERONE SUPPOSITORIES!!!!!) and then the doctor focused on an area and said it might be a boy. I was like what?!?!? we can tell so early on??? He explained sometimes the girls area might be swollen so we might think its a boy, however he zoomed in and got a bottom shot and no way these are swollen!!

We meet again in 2 weeks and I will speak to him in regards to the preeclampsia. Other than that.. I can not wait to go shopping!!!

What a week! here is a recap... Monday 7/12 we had our second u/s with the RE and we were able to see our tadpole again. a strong heart beat pumping at 176 BPM and now we were able to distinguish her/his head and arms. Here is an u/s picture:

The RE said everything is growing on schedule and released us to my Ob/GYN. This was a bitter sweet moment. This is the lady that has helped us get to this point, the one that found us answers. She has been so amazing, what a shame she does not deliver babies. But I did promise her that I would bring her the little one after s/he is born.

After this appointment we went over Mr. Bud's parents house and showed them the u/s picture and told them they were going to be grandparents. They were over the moon. His mom did not stop crying, she was so so so happy for us. Before we could even tell her not to tell the rest of the family until at least 10 weeks, she had already called her two sisters and they told the rest of the Mr's family. I'm very nervous that I am still very early and so many people in the family know, but at the end of the day they are the ones that are going to be there if something happens. Either way I am thinking positive and this is all I could do.

The following Sunday, 7/18 we moved into our new apartment and its been an adventure... on move in day the Sewage pipe on the main building burst and we had to pause everything until it was fixed. Luckily we were just finishing unloading the last few boxes out of the u-haul before the pipe burst So we were able to grab some clothing and head out to the hotel until maintenance fixed the Pipe. We stayed at a hotel until Tuesday and what a pain in the but this was, I had no idea where my work clothing was packed (thinking we were going to unpack somethings Sunday) and then I got sick to my stomach eating fast food and any junk food since we did not have a kitchen to cook..

Luckily this weekend we were able to finish all of our unpacking and my mother in Law came over to help me clean and do laundry... What a blessing she is. My Mother in Law is such a great caring person, I could not have asked for anyone better.

Next week we have our first appointment with the Ob/GYN and Hopefully I can see the little one again.. I'm so anxious! And hopefully everything is ok and I can stop using the daily progesterone Suppositories.

we have a heartbeat!!!

Yesterday we had the baby u/s with the RE and we saw our tadpole, so tiny but yet so adorable. The RE was able to find it right away and the first thing she said was... we have a heartbeat and its a strong one, would you like to hear it? HELL YEA!!!! is what was going through my head, but I smiled and nodded. It was like my prayers being answered at that moment, the heat is beating 116BPM. As per the old wives tale, found here, It was said that 140+ beats per minute (BPM) was a girl and under 140 BPM was a boy. So lets see.

Our next u/s is Monday, 7/12 and hopefully we will have a little gummy bear looking baby :)

First accomplishment

I passed my last m/c date of 5week and 2 days, today I am 5 weeks 4 days.

Next accomplishment is the baby u/s that is this Wednesday, 6/30. I will be 6w3d and am praying that we will be able to see something, not just a black empty sac like we have seen the past two times.

Back from vacation with some beta numbers

The destination wedding in Punta Cana, DR was so much fun. Everything came out so beautiful and the weather was great. I did have to do a lot of fake drinking, which was a pain in the rear end but it was all worth it after hearing my beta's this afternoon.

The nurse just called... beta 1 at 14 DPO was 390 and my progesterone was 15 (this is great compared to my last m/c which was at 7). I have been using Crinone 8% progesterone suppositories every morning and will continue to use until I am 13-14 weeks pregnant. My 2 beta's at 21 dpo are 3979!!!

According to justmommies.com my levels are doubling every 50.1 hours (2.1 days), which (thank God) they are right on schedule. In a bout 85% of normal pregnancies, the hCG level (also known as beta's) will double every 48 - 72 hours. The next step is the baby u/s. At that appointment my RE will make sure that the baby is growing in the correct spot, check for a few things and see how many there are. I think this is a singleton pregnancy, but hey you never know!
