Oh BOY!!! 27 weeks!

Believe it or not... Sometimes, I still can't believe I am pregnant. I think anyone who's ever struggled with any sort of infertility can relate. Heck, if women who get KU easily are sometimes still shocked by the fact that they are actually expecting, can you imagine those of us who've dealt with IF? It's such an amazing feeling... One I hope ALL of our readers may be able to experience at some point. I count my blessings each day, and am ECSTATIC about meeting our Son in October :)

Nothing major has changed lately... As I prepare to wave goodbye to the 2nd trimester, I find myself feeling relatively good. My only main "complaints" (and I put that in quotes because, considering how lucky I am, I'm not actually complaining) are the pain in my tailbone and the heartburn/reflux. So, really, things are pretty good. I hope and pray that things continue to progress as nicely as they have.

Baby Shower plans are underway, and being the Party-planning person I am, I have my hand in it a bit... But I am yielding to the real planners, my Mom and her good friend who also helped immensely with my Wedding. The Theme is going to be amazing, and the location is ultra-FABULOUS! I truly can't wait :) We are scheduling the festivities for September 1st! Mr. DBud is also going to enjoy his own festivities by having a "Men Only Diaper Party". He's going to relax with his boys at the shooting range, followed by food and drinks at Hooter's. All in all, I am sure it'll be a great day for everyone involved and everyone participating.

My next appointment is on August 7th, and I am sure the Dr. and I will begin seeing more of each other afterwards, since I'll officially be in the 3rd trimester.

Aside from everything else that's been going on, Mr. DBud and I ordered our stroller today :) my two sets of grandparents contributed some cash so that we could take advantage of a GREAT deal (which is ending July 31st) buybuybaby has... Purchase the Britax B Ready stroller and get an infant carrier FREE ($229.99 value). We also used a Bed Bath & Beyond coupon saving us an ADDITIONAL $100! All in all, we got out entire travel system for $400 plus tax. I am one happy Mommy-to-Be. We ordered the B Ready stroller in Silver along with the Chaperone infant car seat in silver and black. Very fab :) I am in LOVE with buybuybaby.

But that's not the only baby gift off our registry we received ;) a good friend of mine, who recently signed with a major league baseball team, sent us our Chicco Polly Highchair in "Romantic". It was extremely sweetie him, and we are thrilled!!!

What an exciting time... And this is only the beginning! Can't wait to meet our son :)

Until next time ;)

7 weeks! :)

I can hardly believe it... I am 7 weeks pregnant (as far as my O date is concerned). I am still in shock :) Baby is about the size of a blueberry now, and growing more and more by the day.

Earlier this week I got a call from my Dr. letting me know that my blood test came back positive, and things looked good, so I am scheduled for my 1st official prenatal visit on Tuesday the 13th. I am looking forward to seeing our little bean and hopefully get a heartbeat too. I'll be 7w5d at that appointment.

As for symptoms, my breasts have still been sore, but bearable. Wearing a sports bra helps. My hair isn't greasy anymore, which is great, but it actually seems a bit dry now, so I have to see about that. I am due for a touch up with my highlights, but I'm waiting until after I talk to my Doc on Tuesday. I've had moments where my tummy has been a bit uneasy, with slight waves of mild nausea, but instead of tossing cookies I've had some morning diarrhea.

I am seriously looking forward toy week off next week... It's Spring Break for our School District, and I couldn't be more thrilled!!!!! Time to catch up on some rest and unpacking more boxes from our move. We only have another 7 months to get our house in order before Baby DBud arrives :)

Will have a better update after my next appointment :) until then!!!

A little update

Just a little update on my Appointment yesterday, as well as something I forgot to mention in the last post...

So, I went to see the Doc yesterday after work. From the moment I arrived, I must say I was impressed. He has a beautiful building which houses his practice, as well as another area he rents out (smart guy). When I arrived inside, I walked into a beautifully decorated but relatively empty waiting room. Besides Mr. DBud and I, there was only one other patient waiting. I started by filling out the required paperwork, and paying my copayment. Within a few minutes, we were called in to get started. Since it was my first time with this Doc, this 1st appointment was mostly a consultation. They took my blood pressure and weight, and I was ushered in another room to await the Doc. He was great! Super sweet guy :) He asked me a few questions, and prescribed me some prenatals (PreQue10). He also gave me a two week sample to start trying out. He ordered some blood work to check my levels, and wanted to see me back in about a week. By then, we should be able to see a little something, and hear a heartbeat <3 My next appointment will take place on 3/13. Hopefully they'll call me back and let me know how the blood work turned out :) In the meantime... We wait!

Anyway, I wanted to mention another strange symptom... The other day, I washed my hair. By the next day, it was oily. This is NOT like my hair at all, since my hair is naturally curly and, therefore, dry. I normally wash it every 4 days or so without it getting gross. This was too weird. I washed it last night, and so far it is not greasy. I wonder if that was just a strange week 5 thing? Oh well...

Until next time :)

Still going strong :)

I am so happy! 20DPO and still going strong :) I have continued temping and occasionally POAS just to make sure it's not too good to be true. Take a look at my last two FRER tests:

17DPO - late evening

20DPO - fmu

I think its a good sign when the test line is darker than the control line, and starts to show up before the control line as well ;)

Also, here is what my chart looks like as of this morning:

I had a bit of a temp jump this morning, which is reassuring. :)

I have been taking really good care of myself lately. I have been eating right, and not doing anything too strenuous. Mr. DBud has been helping a lot, too, which is great. He's been washing dishes, and helping me organize after our recent move. He was concerned cause I had some lower back pain yesterday, but I blame it on spending all day Monday organizing our house after our move (which I am still not done doing). Today, it is much better :)

I pray that this baby continues to grow, and that this pregnancy continues to progress. All position vibes and prayers are MUCH appreciated and welcomed :)

Slowly but surely...

Today, I am officially 4w3d. Still so early in the life of my Baby, who is currently growing inside me.

In 2 days, we will be crossing a major bridge in pregnancy (for me, anyway). It was at 4w5d that I MC our last, just a year ago... I am remaining cautiously optimistic, believing that this time, we'll definitely have a little sticker.

Symptoms lately have been some cramping here and there, but nothing (despite having a long day yesterday working on the house with our move), and of course super swollen breasts. By last night, they were KILLING me. Hopefully, this is a good sign.

I took my last EPT yesterday, and it looked good. Darker than the last.
I am going to start prenatals today, and will also be purchasing some HPT (probably FRER, since I am liking those better than EPT). I will keep POAS every few days until my first appointment to make sure things are ok.

I also need to do some major grocery shopping so that I can really concentrate on the pregnancy super foods I've read about. Some of them actually sound really good right now (and it's 8:30AM here).

Before I wrap things up, I wanted to share something with you all... I'm sure many of you have heard of the new crazy "Pinterest". If you haven't, you definitely must! Well, I found something adorable on there, that I simply must share... And it's so true :)

Please keep praying for us, and sending sticky baby vibes our way... We would love to welcome this baby home in October :)

A few good signs...

I've been walking on air the past few days... I can hardly believe my wish and prayers came true! Even though I still have a bit of worry at the back of my mind, I am staying super positive, and enjoying the symptoms (which is strange, since they haven't been too great). But, more about that in a moment.

For starters, my HPTs have gotten progressively darker, which is great... Take a look:

11DPO @ 9pm

12DPO - FMU

14 DPO - FMU

I have one EPT left, which I am saving for early next week, but I am pretty sure this is happening.

I was looking into a new OB, since my most recent experiences with the one I had were not good, and found one 3 blocks away from my house! They seem great, and I plan on calling this afternoon and setting my first appointment. I am hoping they can bring me in soon, at least to do a blood test and confirm.

About my symptoms? They sort of come and go... I've had a bit of nausea and slightly sore breasts, but yesterday I got a major headache. I ate dinner, and then felt super nauseous, so I took a shower and went to bed - at 8:30PM!!! Yeah, I was exhausted. Oh, and today, my sense of smell seems a bit sensitive.

Let's hope this is all a good sign. :)
