12 week appointmnet

and all went great! The dr was able to find the heartbeat right away. It was a strong 160 bpm. I also got to experience the great pap during pregnancy. NOT fun! It's still several days later & I'm still cramping & spotting. We scheduled our big ultrasound for December 15th... too bad we won't be finding out the gender. It would such an amazing early Christmas present but.... the Mr. Faith Bud is set on not finding out. I'm regretting agreeing to not find out! Maybe I can convince him in the meantime...

I've been a bad blogger!!!

The last few weeks have been a little rough but we are getting back to normal now. I was very sick with morning sickness 24/7 and throwing up all day long.... Not fun! Then little Faith Bud got sick with what is suspected to have been H1N1. Then of course I got it! I was pretty much sick & in bed for 2 weeks. We also moved into a new house this past weekend so still trying to get settled here. I am still dropping pounds, down 8 now according to our scale, but the bump is definitely growing! I am feeling little flutters so I'm thinking that all is OK. I have my next appointment in a week. I'm excited but nervous for it. I am going alone as Mr Faith Bud has to work. I'm very excited to hear the heartbeat but am nervous that something will be wrong. We are just a short 2 weeks away from being out of the first trimester! I can't believe it! I am so excited to see our little monkey. Here is a picture of the 11 week bump! Enjoy!!!

8 weeks!!!

We had our first appointment on Monday & everything was great. Baby Faith Bud had a strong & healthy heart beat of 170 bpm. Our little gummy bear is growing just like he should. The ultrasound was so emotional for Mr Faith Bud and I. We both shed a few tears. It was such a relief for us to know that our little angel is healthy and that all is well. Here is a picture of our little angel!

We have a bump!!

It really is true you "pop" sooner with baby #2! I feel like there is actually a bump now & not just fat! Here is a pic from week 6 and a pic take today.

Being Pregnant is SCARY

I have been a really bad blogger lately. We have had a really eventful past few days so here is the Cliff notes version. Thursday night I started having some bad cramping & a little bit of spotting. Because of the miscarriages in the past I completely lost it. I called my Dr's office & they told me I could either go to the ER that night or wait and call them back in the morning. Since Mr. Faith Bud was out of town working and it was just me and little Faith Bud I opted to wait until the next day. Well I called my Dr the next morning and they were not able to get me in so they suggested I go to the ER. I headed that way and spent about 6 hours in the ER. They did another HCG quantitative where they discovered my HCG levels were 56,000. At the high range for 6 weeks pregnant, which is where we are. They wanted to do an ultrasound to make sure baby was OK as well. They also established that I was extremely dehydrated so I was lucky enough to get an IV. The ultrasound showed baby measuring right on and I was able to see our little monkey. His heart was beating at 129 bpm, which is pretty good/normal for 6 weeks. They released me with a diagnosis of Threatened Miscarriage with instructions to make an appointment with my OB/GYN ASAP for follow up. They also put me on bed rest & pelvic rest until I was released by my OB/GYN. So it's been a really emotional weekend. A lot of ups and downs but I am feeling pretty optimistic right now. I haven't had any spotting since Friday which is a great thing. With our previous m/c's the bleeding only got worse. My m/s also returned this morning. I have been trying to take it easy and drink a lot of water. We are praying that tomorrow the baby is still thriving and growing! We are trusting God to keep our little monkey safe and healthy.

Well Hello There

Morning Sickness... how nice of you to hit me like a ton of bricks! I just have one question..... why if it's called morning sickness am I puking my guts out at night??? I must say though I'm so glad she showed today! I have been having some minor cramping and got scared today. I called the dr and they told me to not worry about it unless I started bleeding... Not all that reassuring but really nothing they can do at this point I suppose. Well lucky for me a few hours later I had to make the mad dash to the bathroom where I spent a good long while praying to the porcelain gods. Tomorrow marks our journey into the 6th week. Our first m/c was at 6w3d so I'm waiting to get into the 7th week and then our u/s the next week to really relax. So here's to praying that the m/s sticks around!!! Mr Faith Bud and I are still at opposite ends of finding out what the baby will be. I have a feeling it's a boy but I want to know. I hate suprises!!! My FB would like to know at delivery he thinks..... I'm hoping we can come to an agreement, preferably what I want! lol. So far we have also not come to agree on any boy names. Everything I like Mr Faith Bud HATES!!!! I love Gavin which he is not totally against but not in love with yet either.

The numbers are in

x
and they are GREAT!!!! Not only are they doubling in less than 48 hours but morning sickness has kicked in in FULL effect!!! I never thought I'd be so happy to be throwing up! I am so thankful God is blessing us with another miracle. I also got my first full fledged pregnancy migraine today. I already suffer from them frequently but now that I can't take anything but Tylenol it's a little scary. Taking Tylenol for a migraine is a complete joke! It's like eating a diet bar when what you really really want is a big fat candy bar. It just doesn't cut it! I got them horribly with little Faith Bud but hoping this was one of few! Now it's time to just focus on enjoying the morning sickness!!!

So now what do I do???

While I'm waiting for my 8 week ultrasound??? I'm driving myself crazy waiting and of course worrying. The problem with having pregnancy problems and miscarriages in the past is that no matter how hard you try you can't help but worry more than you normally would. Looking back now I am so thankful as to how oblivious I was to the possible dangers and problems that could occur during pregnancy with little Faith Bud! I went for my second beta test on Saturday but the dr office was closed on Friday and today so tomorrow is when I get my results. I couldn't stop worrying last night. Here's to praying we see high numbers that are doubling every 48 hours!

Little Faith Bud asked this afternoon if the baby was still in my tummy or if Jesus was going to take this baby away too. It took all I had to not burst into tears. I just told her the baby is still in my tummy and we can only pray that Jesus lets us keep this baby. There is a "mantra" of sorts for women who have had miscarriages in the past. It goes "Today I am pregnant and I love my baby" . It's times like this that I have to remind myself to fall back on my faith and trust God. It's not as easy as it sounds!

The waiting game...

really stinks! lol. We are now 4 weeks & 2 days!!! I made our first appointment to see baby faith bud!!! We don't go in until October 8th though! I was hoping they would see me sooner but alas more waiting! I guess we've waited this long then what's another month right? Nothing really new to report just yet. I definitely have the beginnings of m/s & food aversions! I can't eat anything sweet, which for me is hard, because I have a serious sweet tooth but it just makes me sick! And I have been craving meat! Meatloaf, burgers, pork chops, you name it!

On another note so far I LOVE the new Dr's office. I spoke with a nurse yesterday when I scheduled my appointment and she gave me some good pointers on beating m/s, suggested I take an additional folic acid supplement to reduce the likelihood of another m/c and answered all the questions I had. I know I've had a baby before but it's been a LONG time since I had a healthy pregnancy!!! New Dr is sending me for a new Beta today & again on Saturday. Should have all the results by Monday.

Mr. Faith Bud has decided he doesn't want to know the sex of the baby.... I'm not totally convinced on that. I'm a planner & feel like I HAVE to know everything! I guess once we get to the 20 week ultrasound we will decide! We have decided on a theme for the nursery though and it will work either way! We are doing a jungle animal theme. If it's a boy it will be more Monkeys & if it's a girl most likely more Giraffes & Elephants. I am making all of the bedding and things needed for the nursery. I ordered a few books from Amazon & can't wait for them to get here. I also have a few patterns for baby outfits that I'm going to try my hand at. I can do basic sewing but I'm thinking of taking a sewing class to improve. Mr. Faith Bud & I found some amazing mechanic fabric & a dresser that looks like a mechanic tool chest (Mr. Faith Bud is a mechanic) but that will only work if he changes his mind about finding out the sex!

Here's a picture for your humor!

Still on cloud 9

and praying & hoping I never come down! I just still can't believe we finally got our BFP! I'm already having some symptoms but that is really no big shock for me. I can't really take BCP's because the Progesterone makes me nauseous, moody and a million things in between. So it's no surprise that I already have some serious mood swings. I'm pretty good all day, great energy, good mood... until about 6:30 every night! Then I need some food & a nap and will bite someones head off if they get in the way! I have already started looking at baby furniture online, which Mr. Faith Bud thinks is CRAZY. Ha Ha. I am already pretty sure we will be having a boy. With little Faith Bud I had the same feeling from early on that she would be a girl and it worked then.... Maybe I'm on to something. Also according to the Chinese chart little Faith Bud was meant to be a girl & baby Faith Bud should be a boy.... I don't think I really believe that stuff but it's funny to look at! We make our first appointment tomorrow and they should be doing an ultrasound at that appointment, which should be at about 6 weeks. I can't wait!!! Here is a picture of the bib I got to tell DH... except I couldn't keep the secret & ended up telling him before he got home!

I'M PREGNANT!!!

Holy cow!!! I just can't believe it! I took a HPT earlier & it came up wtih a faint positive. I went to get a digital & wasn't expecting it to be positive yet. But I was wrong! I got the YES+ after the 3 minutes!!! Mr. Faith Bud & I are so thrilled & so glad that God has blessed us! I go in for my first HCG tomorrow and then again on Monday. I'm still in shock! I am going to buy a CBE Digital Test just so I have the test that says "PREGNANT" for the baby book. [:)]

Did you know .....

That nearly EVERYTHING could be considered a pregnancy symptom. During the 2ww I tend to obsess over every tiny thing. And since there is no such thing as TMI when talking about TTC here is my current issue. The past few days I have had a weird tingling and tightening feeling in my stomach. Well last night, I got extremely sick to my stomach. I spent like 2 hours on the stinkin toilet! What the heck??? I didn't eat anything funny I wasn't feeling sick. Just tired. So what do I do??? Of course I google it! And apparently diarrhea is a early sign of pregnancy, some nonsense about your body detoxing itself & preparing for baby. So for the first time in my life I'm praying that my crappy, pun intended, night is because my uterus is finally cooperating!!

August 26, 2009

Wishful thinking??

So twice this week I have had some crazy intense migraines. They SUCK big time but I'm praying it's a good sign. The last time I had migraines this often was during my pregnancy with little Faith Bud! My body does crazy things with hormones so I'm wishin' & hopin' & prayin' that this is our month! My chart isn't looking all that promising but I can't help but get my hopes up. Just a few more days until a test will be accurate! Keep all your fingers, toes & everything else crossed!

My Name is Faith Bud and I'm an addict....

A POAS addict!

I am in the 2ww right now, 6-7 dpo, and I so desperately want to take an HPT. I know it's WAY WAY too early but I just can't help it! I saw a temp rise this morning after what I'm praying was an implantation dip! The next few days are certainly going to be very long! When I was talking about my impatience with Mr. Faith Bud last night I asked him if he thought we had something baking in there. His witty reply??? "Yes, I think there is a turkey baking in there!". Gee thanks Mr. Faith Bud, at least he made me laugh!
This TTC is hard work and a lot of waiting! Every month we're waiting for AF to end, then waiting to Ovulate & then waiting for either the BFP or AF to arrive! There are those who say "Enjoy the journey" or "When you stop trying is when you will get pregnant". To those people I say BLAH!!!

The journey of faith

Hi all! My name is Faith Bud. For me there is a great source of meaning behind that name. Here is my story.

Mr. Faith Bud and I initially decided to start TTC when we were very early in our relationship. I already have a little Faith Bud from a previous relationship that Mr. Faith Bud will be adopting in the very near future.

The females on my moms side of the family have all been diagnosed with Ovarian, Uterine & Cervical Cancer by the age of 25. Prior to TTC I saw my OB/GYN every 6 months as there is no doubt that I will actually get this type of cancer & as long as they catch it very early I have a strong chance of survival. Mr. Faith Bud and I knew very early on that we wanted to get married & have more children. I was diagnosed with cervical cancer right after Mr. Faith Bud and I first met. We started TTC in March of 2007. We conceived in October of 2007. I found out about 10 dpo (on Halloween!!!) via a blood test. This was the same day Mr. Faith Bud and I moved in together. We were so thrilled! We m/c at 6 weeks a few days before Thanksgiving. We were not able to TTC again before Mr. Faith Bud deployed December of 2007. Mr. Faith Bud came home on leave & we TTC again. We got pregnant & m/c again at about 5 weeks this time. A few months after our second m/c I had blood work done and the doctor saw I had low progesterone levels. They wanted to wait until Mr. Faith Bud to come home & for me to loose some weight before we went thru any sort of fertility drugs, treatments, etc. Mr. Faith Bud got home in February & we have been TTC since. We are currently on cycle 17 of TTC. This is our last chance before we start Clomid for 3 cycles.

We have faith that God will bless us with another baby. Even though there have been many bumps in the road it has brought us closer together.

I look forward to sharing our journey with you!
