I couldn't have prepared for this.

Today we got Mr. Sassy Bud's S/A results.

I tried to prepare myself for bad news but this was worse than I expected. His count was 1.5 million. Morphology was less than 1%. Motility was 41% with no forward movement.

We have been referred to a urologist who specializes in male factor infertility.

I am still numb from the shock of the results. Mr. Sassy Bud is actually in good spirits and said he is not going to worry unless they tell them there is nothing they can do. Hopefully we can get in for some answers very soon.

  1. I am so sorry that the test results weren't better. I'm glad you finally have an answer though as to what the problem is. Now that you have pinpointed that, hopefully you can work towards finding a way around it or through it.

  3. Sorry it wasn't the news you wanted to hear, but at least you have a point you can work from now.

  4. Oh Sassy Bud, I'm so sorry to hear this news. Take it from me - I know EXACTLY how you must be feeling since only about 8 months ago, I was receiving similar news from my RE. I'm sending you lots of thoughts & prayers as you guys make some what must be difficult decisions & begin to work with your uro. Please please email me if you ever need to talk or have questions about my specific situation.

  5. I don't really have much else to say than what I've already said over text except I love you and I'm here for you...anytime, all the time. I will keep both of you in my prayers.

  7. I cried for days when I found out about DHs SA results. Our numbers are very similar to yours, except our morphology is a little better and our motility is much worse. No one can understand what you're going through unless they've been there. And having been there, I'm so sorry that you're going through this now.

I just went through all of my posts to see if I had one from when we got the SA results, but that was way before the blog was started.

I promise you that it gets better. There is hope.

Smudge is proof of that hope.

Thinking of you and wishing the best of everything at your appointment. I hope they can find a fixable issue.
